Growing My Sunflower.

Reading My Spring Acrostic Poem.

The teacher read a book called 'The Dandelion Seed' by Joseph Anthony.  Then we made our own picture of a dandelion seed blowing around.  After that we wrote our Acrostic Poem about Spring.  We wrote the word SPRING down the side of our page and we wrote some words about Spring.  Mrs Kerr published our best work.  We displayed it on the wall in Room 1.  We read our poems to the teacher and she recorded it on the computer.  Press the play button and you will hear my voice saying my awesome poem.

"I am learning to read and I am awesome.  I like to read books about snoring and animals.  My family think I am really awesome at reading."

My Numbers.

"I chose 10 teddy bears and I put them on my whiteboard. I had to write 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 under the teddy bears. It's easy to write some numbers like 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. After that I need to look around the room and copy the numbers the right way. The 7 is the wrong way so I would have rub it out and do it again the right way."

When I Grow Up ...

I wrote my story in my book.  I checked with Mrs Kerr.  She helped me import my photo into kidpix.  I typed the words by myself.  It took a long, long, long time.  It's tricky to type the right letter.  I decorated my photo so that it looks like me when I am grown up. 

"I am learning to see the words.  It's tricky when I can't find the right letter.  I am happy with my picture because it shows that I am a real hairdresser."
