We are learning about rhyming words. The middle and last sound in rhyming words has to be the same. It is easy to sound out words when they are rhyming. Rhyming words almost sound the same. Only the first sound is different. I find it easy to read and write rhyming words.

Reading My Spring Acrostic Poem.
The teacher read a book called 'The Dandelion Seed' by Joseph Anthony. Then we made our own picture of a dandelion seed blowing around. After that we wrote our Acrostic Poem about Spring. We wrote the word SPRING down the side of our page and we wrote some words about Spring. Mrs Kerr published our best work. We displayed it on the wall in Room 1. We read our poems to the teacher and she recorded it on the computer. Press the play button and you will hear my voice saying my awesome poem.

My Numbers.
"I chose 10 teddy bears and I put them on my whiteboard. I had to write 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 under the teddy bears. It's easy to write some numbers like 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. After that I need to look around the room and copy the numbers the right way. The 7 is the wrong way so I would have rub it out and do it again the right way."
